If you’re a woman, you’re probably pretty familiar with cellulite.
But have you ever stopped to figure out what it actually is? Cellulite is actually just another type of fat, but this one sits just below the skin’s surface. That’s what gives the skin it’s dimpled, uneven look and it’s why so many women around the world dread swimsuit season.
The worst part about cellulite is that many women feel doomed to carry it around with them for life. They believe rumors that once you have it, you have it for good—no matter how hard or how long you train. Or they end up getting costly, invasive liposuction that only provides a short-term solution to the problem.
On my road to discovering the perfect cellulite fighting tricks, I discovered a few shortcuts that are actually more like dead ends.
Here’s one dead end: creams and rubs won’t cut it when it comes to getting rid of cellulite—no matter what miracles they claim on the label. The only way to truly get rid of the unsightly fat is by working out and burning it off…just like any other fat. And burning fat requires a high-intensity aerobic workout that specifically targets the trouble areas of the body where cellulite hangs out.
Make a change to your routine that will work. Follow my workout advice, and incorporate my low-carb alcoholic drink recipe, and you will say goodbye the annoying cellulite for good.
Attacking Cellulite with 1-Legged Burpees, 3 Times a Day
Strange name I know, but burpees are great at targeting the notorious spots where cellulite hangs out in the hips, butt, and thighs. And because they’re an intense exercise, your body’s metabolism will get an added boost.
How to do a burpee:
- A burpee takes balance and coordination, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll love its one-of-a-kind burn.
- Start off standing upright on one leg with your arms at your side and hop once.
- After the hop, drop down into a push up position (keeping one leg off the ground).
- Do a one legged pushup and then bounce back up into starting position.
- Do 5 burpees on each leg for 3 sets, 3 times a day.
The Burpee Burn
Because the burpee burn is specifically targeting the trouble areas, that area of your body actually heats up to the level where it can burn off the cellulite. Not only will you start losing the fat, you’ll have more energy to play with the kids, go to the grocery store, and focus on the daily work you need to get done.
What’s really neat about this workout is the limited space it requires—if your only space at lunchtime is a small office or cubicle, you can do it! And rocking this workout 3 times a day is a great way to coordinate your burpees with your eating habits.
But how good could a day full of work an exercise actuallybe, if there wasn’t some way to treat yourself when the sun went down? Try this fresh margarita recipe, and you’ll have all the motivation you need to get your workout routine done every day.
The Lean Margarita
There are great recipes out there for low carb drinks, but there’s nothing better than a pitcher of margaritas on a sunny summer evening. This recipe is so good, you’ll never go back to those old, sugary sour mix packets or bottles again!
When you entertain guests, you know you’ll be serving them a healthier alternative to a traditional margarita. This recipe cuts out the triple sec, which, like most liquers or cordials, is extremely high in sugar and low in alcohol. Instead of triple sec, use a pure orange extract. And instead of sugary sour mixes, use pure lime juice and agave nectar.
This recipe actually tastes better than the traditional margaritas because it uses fresh ingredients and not pre-mixed stuff that’s been sitting on a shelf in a grocery store for months or more.
Enjoyed responsibly, this party friendly beverage will have your friends begging you for the recipe. It’s designed to serve 8, so make adjustments depending on the size of your gathering and the size of your thirst.
It’s time to put away the creams for good. Don’t even think of expensive liposuction surgery or crazy fixes! In just a few weeks, these two tweaks to your routine will reduce your cellulite and have you living a more energetic and fulfilling life. You’ll find reserves of energy you never thought you had and you’ll start looking forward the workouts you used to dread.
This is a challenge that even the busiest mom can rise to. I did, and I hope this helps you fit into that little bikini you thought you would never wear!
Cheers,
Lacy
